Seeking: A wide range of types and ages to fill out a diverse ensemble of 13. Characters in this King John range from age 12 to 65. While the ages of the actors will not need to correspond exactly to the characters, attention will be paid to the relative generational relationships within the world of the play. We are looking for actors who can play quite young, actors who bring a sense of maturity to their work, and all ages in-between. Many actors will play multiple roles. All roles are available.
This production will be largely ensemble based. All actors who wish to be considered should be interested in engaging in the rehearsal process with a great level of creative imagination.
Prior experience with classical text is essential. We are seeking both union and non-union actors. There is a stipend for all performers, regardless of union affiliation.
