Mickey:
Man, mid - late 50s. Gangster from South Boston – a “Southie”. Was the leader of a gang, until he was forced into “early retirement”. Now traveling the world, running from whoever is chasing him. Not taking well to retirement; seems a bit lost, until he has “work” to do.
Jean:
Woman, mid - late 40s. A “Southie”, Mickey’s good-looking, long-suffering long-time girlfriend; has stuck with him through three marriages, holding a big secret. He grabbed her when he had to leave town. They are now traveling companions. She takes good care of him, but she is having second thoughts.
Bobby / Dr. Shockley / Tinsel:
Multiple characters for one versatile actor. Track gender/age: Male, early 40s. Bobby: A banker. Contemporary of Jean’s; grew up admiring her from afar. Shockley: British doctor working in Paris. Tinsel: Drag queen.
