Two-character play. On the eve of a prestigious conference, an up-and-coming evolutionary biologist wrestles for the truth with an established leader in the field. But their real competition is the fiercely male-dominated enterprise of academic science, where a female perspective has never even been considered … until now. Evolution and emotion collide in this thought-provoking new play about science, family and the survival of the fittest.
Seeking (both roles are available):
Rachel Hardeman:
28. Graduate student in Evolutionary Biology. Emotional, excitable, brilliant.
Zelda Kahn:
56. Senior professor of Evolutionary Biology. Reserved, cynical, brilliant.
