| Breakdown
Ronnie Shaughnessy: a 19-year-old man who is 'young' for his age and wears thick glasses. He is AWOL from the army, which he had recently joined, and sports a crew cut. He is an angry young man with a massive chip on his shoulder. He is a rebel with a cause: to blow up Pope Paul VI during his visit to New York in order to obtain notoriety for himself.
Bunny Flingus: a pretty, pink, slightly plump, electric woman in her late thirties. She is loud, brash, lively, and enormously selfish. Celebrity is of primary importance in her life: she reveres celebrities and yearns to leave Queens and move to Hollywood to become one, despite her lack of talent.
Corrinna Stroller: a beautiful, glamorous Hollywood starlet whose sole, rather forgettable film has made her somewhat recognizable. She is desperately trying to hide the fact that she is stone deaf.
Head nun: a bossy, contentious, demanding woman who can be middle-aged or older. Though her habit would suggest otherwise, she is hardly spiritual but instead obsessed with those who have fame and fortune.
Second nun: very like the head nun, who is her superior, is also contentious, demanding, and obsessed with fame and fortune. Could be the same age as the Head Nun; could be younger or older.
Little nun: a young woman who is small in stature. Like the other two nuns, she is obsessed with fame and fortune. She has no compunction about abandoning her vows at a moment's notice.
A military policeman: male, 20's - 50's. The quintessential M.P.: tough, all military.
The white man: a man of any age, dressed in medical whites, from a mental hospital.
