NYC auditions will be held June 15, 2011, by appointment only.

Accepting submissions from AEA MEMBERS ONLY for these auditions.

Remember: Submissions from AEA Members only are sought. EMCs are not Equity Members.

IMPORTANT: Your submission will NOT be read unless you follow the specific submission instructions below.

- Put the name of the character(s) for which you wish to audition in the subject line, along with your union status. Example: “Desdemona – AEA”. You MUST do this.

- Do not send any attachments with your e-mail.

- Copy and paste your headshot into the body of the e-mail.

- Copy and paste your resume into the body of the e-mail.

- Submit only if …

… You are “right” for one or more of the listed roles, and

… You are free to work throughout the posted rehearsal/run of the show, and

… You have solid “conservatory” training and solid experience in performance Shakespeare.

SEEKING:

Lisette:

Female. A down-to-earth maid. She is very sexy, clever, very pretty, saucy and full of mischief. Vivacious, plucky, playful and quick. MUST have great comic ability. 27-32.

Eraste:

Male. Nephew to the miserly Geronte. He must find a way to become Geronte’s sole heir in order to marry the woman he loves. Very handsome, young leading man, quick witted, charming, sensitve and likeable. MUST have great comic ability. 21-26.

Isabelle:

Female. In love with Eraste. Charming and beautiful. Smart, passionate, spirited. MUST have great comic ability. 20-26.

Scruple:

Male. MUST be played by a “little person.” A lawyer. MUST have great comic ability and stage experience. Along with this character’s credits, please list his height.
