Preparation Be prepared to dance. Women wear character heels. Tap Dancing a plus; please bring shoes if you have them. May be asked to sing. Bring headshot and resume. A Score will be available at auditions if you'd like to sing from show.

Offers Pending for the roles of: The Drowsy Chaperone, Aldolpho, and Kitty. ALDOLPHO European self-proclaimed ladies man, played by former silent movie star Roman Bartelli. Must have great comedic timing. A#2 - G4 (Bass/Baritone + great falsetto) In the song 'Adolpho', the high notes in the song can be sung calla foce (falsetto). The lower notes are more of a character voice. 35-45 FELDZIEG Broadway producer, played by Jack Adler. Must have great comic timing. 40-50 Db3 - Db4 (Baritenor) GANGSTERS Posing as pastry chefs, intending to collect from Feldzieg, played by the vaudeville duo the Tall Brothers. Must move well. 25-35 Db3 - Gb4 (Tenors) GEORGE Robert's anxious best man. Must tap dance, move well, and have great comic timing. 25-45 F3 - Bb4 (Tenor) JANET VAN de GRAAF The famous bride, played by rising star Jane Roberts. She is a beautiful showgirl, with star quality and must have great extension. Must move well, gymnastics/special skills a plus. Have great comic timing. 20-35. G3 - Eb (Alto) KITTY Feldzieg's dim-witted companion, played by Sadie Adler. Must move well. 20-35 Bb3 - F5 (Soprano) MAN IN CHAIR Musical theatre aficionado who mourns the end of the Golden Era. His recording of"The Drowsy Chaperone" brings the show to life as he narrates. Must to be able to sing on pitch. 35-55 MRS. TOTTENDALE The air-headed host of the wedding. Must move well. Able to play the ukulele a plus. 45-55 . G3 - Db5 (Alto) CAST ROBERT MARTIN The dashing, ever-cheerful groom, played by matinee-idol Percy Hyman. Must tap, roller skate, and have great comic timing. 25-35 C3 - Ab4 (Tenor) THE DROWSY CHAPERONE Janet's alcoholic confidante, played by well-established stage actress Beatrice Stockwell. Must have great comic timing. F3 - D5 (Alto) TRIX African American female. The brave and brash aviator. Ab3 - Eb5 (Alto) UNDERLING Mrs. Tottendale's savvy butler. Must have great comic timing, very dry sense of humor, and move well. 45-55 Ab2 - G4 (Tenor) ENSEMBLE 2 male 2 female Strong singers and musical theater dancers to play multiple roles. 20-40 Tap dancing a plus.
