Theatre’s casting notes: “There will be doubling … Seeking versatile classical actors with a strong contemporary sensibility to play multiple roles. Particularly seeking actual twins to play the pairs of Antipholus and Dromio.”
Solinus:
The Duke of Ephesus.
Egeon:
Merchant of Syracuse.
Emilia:
Egeon’s lost wife, now Lady Abbess at Ephesus.
Antipholus of Ephesus and Antipholus of Syracuse:
Twin brothers, sons of Egeon and Emilia. Particularly seeking actual twins.
Dromio of Ephesus and Dromio of Syracuse:
Twin brothers, bondmen, each serving his respective Antipholus. Particularly seeking actual twins.
Adriana:
Wife of Antipholus of Ephesus.
Luciana:
Adriana's sister.
Luce:
Maid to Adriana, sometimes mistaken for Nell (Antipholus of Ephesus's obese kitchen-maid and Dromio of Ephesus's wife).
Balthazar:
Merchant.
Angelo:
Goldsmith.
Doctor Pinch:
Conjuring schoolmaster.
Various other roles.
