Seeking:

Antipholus of Syracuse / Hendelberg / The Abbess / Others:

AVAILABLE TRACK. 20s-30s, any race. Antipholus of Syracuse: Wandering hip-hop artist, searching to make his name in the world. Ends up in Ephesus, where he is mistaken for his lost identical twin1 (also named Antipholus). Hendelberg: A jeweler. Abbess: The twins' mother. Seeking an actor with excellent comedic timing and improvisational skills. Must be able to handle complex rhymes and rhythms, and create distinct characters. Must be a very good rapper and hip-hop dancer.

The following roles are cast. Auditioning performers will be considered as possible (emergency) replacements, should any become necessary.

Dromio of Syracuse / Desi / Dr. Pinch / Others:

TRACK IS CAST. 20s-30s. Dromio of Syracuse: Antipholus of Syracuse’s brother and hype man. More of a clown than Antipholus, but entirely devoted to his brother. Desi: A courtesan. Dr. Pinch, A “medicine man”. Actor must possess strong comedic skills, be facile with text and have the ability to create distinct characters. Must be a very good rapper and hip-hop dancer.

Antipholus of Ephesus / Adriana / Bobby the Bike Messenger / Others:

TRACK IS CAST. Antipholus of Ephesus: Main MC in all of Ephesus. Has trouble balancing his MC status and his high-maintenance wife (whom this actor also plays). Actor must possess strong comedic skills, be facile with text and have the ability to create distinct characters. Must be a very good rapper and hip-hop dancer.

Dromio of Ephesus / Luciana / The Cop / Others:

TRACK IS CAST. 20s-30s. Dromio of Ephesus: Brother and aide to Antipholus of Ephesus. Identical twin to Dromio of Syracuse. Actor must possess strong comedic skills, be facile with text and have the ability to create distinct characters. Must be a very good rapper and hip-hop dancer.
