2 PM – Equity male dancers who sing very well New York City
Please be warmed up and ready to dance when the call begins. Jazz shoes or sneakers. Comfortable clothing. Some may be asked to stay and sing after all have danced. Please prepare 16 bars of a contemporary musical theater song. Bring sheet music in the correct key; accompanist is provided, but may not transpose.
Please bring a picture & resume, stapled back-to-back.
Seeking, for the original company of the tour production:
Ensemble Singers (M/F):
Characters are 20s–40s, all ethnicities. Need strong singing voices, sharp comic skills and movement ability. Play a variety of characters in the ensemble and possibly understudy principal roles.
Ensemble Dancers (M/F):
Characters are 20s–40s, all ethnicities. Seeking strong, classically and technically trained dancers who have a strong contemporary background. Looking for all types, with a quirky sense of movement and style. Looking for dancers who sing very well. Knowledge of tango and flamenco dancing a plus. Possible principal understudy assignments.
