Prepare a short song excerpt in the style of the show. Prepare a short selection showing proficiency on your instrument. NOTE: All roles are actor/musicians, and MUST play a relevant instrument at the audition. **Please bring a picture and resume stapled together

BREAKDOWN

MARIAN AMES (This role has been cast: Eb3-Eb5) – A lovely, classic leading lady of the silver screen who is slightly past her prime. Elegant, gracious, and maternal, Marian is a strong leader with a healthy dose of wry humor.

JO STERLING (This role has been cast: F3-C4) – A good-natured gal and everyone's best friend. She's warm, sensitive, brainy, and ready with a snappy wisecrack on every occasion. (Must play drums)

KATIE GAMMERSFLUGEL (This role has been cast: G3-Eb5) – A young, small-town girl. Enthusiastic and highly emotional.

TOPEKA ABOTELLI (F3-Eb5) – Female Identifying, any ethnicity, 25 – 40. A roughedged housewife and mom. A super-patriot who works as a riveter in a war plant. A zany, warmhearted woman with an antic energy. (Must be highly proficient on piano, both reading and ‘comping’. Strong mover)

LILLY MCBAIN (G3-C#5) – Female Identifying, any ethnicity, 20 – 35. Gorgeous, ambitious, and tough as nails. A survivor who masks her vulnerability with a cynical veneer. (Highly proficient on Alto Sax, intermediate guitar and piano; banjo a plus. Dancer/very strong mover)
