Nick:

Late 20s - late 30s; Good-looking and gay, not at all femme, but a touch ditzy. Charming and friendly, but a little naive, a little goofy. He exudes sincerity and throws himself into a given task, but loses interest just as quickly. At the end of the day he's a nice guy looking for love.

Bob:

Mid-30s - mid-40s; A good guy stuck in a major rut. The quintessential husband who's happy to have a quiet dinner and watch Law & Order every night with his wife, unaware of how much more she wants. He is a creature of habit who married his high school sweetheart, whom he adores and admires but doesn't really understand. A simple guy, but not at all stupid; he knows what he likes and it hasn't changed much in 20 years.

The Shark:

Early 20s - Late 30s; A shark. Attractive, a powerful physical presence. There's something sexy and dangerous about him, but also something sort of mystical, he has a touch of the philosopher. He has a fundamental sadness stemming from wanting contact with people but recognizing what his presence generally evokes in them. At the end of the day he's a nice shark looking for love.
