Seeking (all roles are available):
Joe LeVay:
African American, late 50s – early 60s. Patriarch of the LeVay family. A neurosurgeon. Well-intentioned, honest, loving, yet firm. Distinguished and charming. The kind of man you might be a little intimated to meet for the first time.
Kent “Spoon” LeVay:
African American, late 20s – early 30s. Younger of the LeVay sons. Gentle, playful, kind; he loves deeply and truly. Confident, but sometimes has difficulty standing up for himself. The only artistic mind in a family of doctors and lawyers, he struggles to find his sense of self as well as his identity within the family.
Flip LeVay:
African American man, mid – late 30s. Kent’s older brother. A doctor. The family “golden boy”, who has fallen in line with his father’s expectations – though not without compromises of his own. Incorrigible yet charming; can talk his way out of any situation. A total ladies’ man.
Taylor Bradley Scott:
African American woman, late 20s – early 30s. Kent’s fiancée. Raised by a single mother in the absence of a father of some renown. Poised, wickedly intelligent, accomplished, self-sufficient. While her father’s name has opened doors for her, she has ultimately achieved what she has based on her own merits.
Kimber Davies:
Caucasian woman, late 20s – early 30s. Flip’s girlfriend. Smart, warm, quick-witted and sexy. Seemingly carefree, but her time at the LeVays’ makes her realize she may want more out of her relationship with Flip, and for herself.
Cheryl:
Update, posted 8.1.11: Role is now CAST. Auditioning performers will be considered as possible replacements/understudies. African American, late teens – early 20s. Grew up with the LeVay children, as the daughter of the family maid. Pretty, bright, honest, with an inquisitive mind. Has always had a huge crush on Flip.
