You will receive an email or phone call confirming your audition time. Equity Members without appointments will be seen throughout the audition day, as time permits.
Auditions will be in 5-minute slots. Performers may audition with material from one or more of the season’s shows. Performers may also prepare a brief song of their choice. SpeakEasy suggests two 16-bar selections, one up-tempo and one ballad. An accompanist, readers, and material from the scripts will be available at the auditions. Scripts are available for perusal at the StageSource office, 88 Tremont Street, Boston. See

Diana Goodman: 30s or 40s, Alto with belt/mix to E, delusional bipolar depressive, wife to Dan and mother of Natalie and Gabe, sexy, sharp, quick-witted, loves her family
Dan Goodman: 30s or 40s, High Baritone/Tenor to A, genuine, handsome, constantly tired, wildly supportive, Diana’s husband and Natalie and Gabe’s father
Natalie Goodman: 16, Alto with belt/mix to E, perfectionist, bitingly sarcastic, obsesses over school and practicing the piano, resents her family, Dan and Diana’s daughter
Gabriel “Gabe” Goodman: almost 18, Rock Tenor to B, dashing, bright, playful, almost too charming, perfect, Diana and Dan’s son
Henry: 17, High Baritone/Tenor to A, stoner, slacker, romantic, loves to play jazz, philosopher king, caring, honest, Natalie’s boyfriend
Dr. Fine/Dr. Madden: 20s or 30s, High Baritone/Tenor to A, handsome, self-assured, rock star quality, subtly in charge, Diana’s doctor

Clio/Kira: 20s, pop Soprano, the Olivia-Newton John role from the movie, must sing, move well, roller skate confidently; is fit, attractive and a true comedienne. Excellent on roller-skates.
Sonny Malone: 20s, pop Bari-Tenor, handsome, struggling artist, heartthrob, masculine. Excellent on roller-skates.
Danny Maquire/Zeus: 50s or 60s, Baritone, the seasoned actor of the group, must sing, move well, and command the stage. Dancing/skating is a plus.
Calliope/Aphrodite: Female, rock-pop Belt to E flat, Greek mythology character, Clio’s sister, very funny character woman
Melpomene/Medusa: Female, rock-pop Belt to E flat, Greek mythology character, Clio’s sister, raucously funny character
Thalia/Siren/Cyclops/80’s Singer: Male, 18-35, Tenor, Greek mythology character, must skate
