Set in 1935. A murder mystery musical that spoofs detective stories. The cast is a set of British stock characters typically found in the works of Agatha Christie. Seeking a unique company of inventive and fearless actors with strong comedic abilities.

Seeking the following only. Submit only if you are right for one or more roles and free to work during the contract dates.

Clive – The over-worked widow butler of the late Lord Rancour; Elegant and distinguished, the classic butler type. Age – 30-50; Bass

Lettie – The saucy new cockney maid of the late Lord Rancour; Salt of the earth, witty and spirited. Age – 21-30; Alto

Flint – The cockney “gripper” handyman of the late Lord Rancour; Age – 40-60; Tenor

Hope Langdon – The ingénue and daughter of Lady Grace Manley-Prowe and Colonel Gillweather; a quirky ingenue who is almost infuriatingly and relentlessly lovely. In on the joke of playing the classic ingénue, yet with sincerity. Age – 20-25; Soprano

Dr. Grayburn – The family doctor; Proper; asphyxiated by gas concealed in telephone. Age – 40-60; Tenor

Nigel Rancour – The black sheep and nephew of the late Lord Rancour; Dashing and debonair, a bit oily and shifty, driven by greed, dissolute. Age – 21-35; Tenor

Lady Grace Manley-Prowe – Posing as the French Grande Dame and discovered to be ex-wife to the late Lord Rancour; Aristocratic carriage conceals hidden motives and a surprising streak of passion and lust. Age – 40-65; Alto

Miss. Tweed – Elderly amateur detective and artist; “Miss Marple”. A natural leader, she is shrewdly intelligent, intuitive and observant. Strong willed, fiesty and not easily intimidated. A twinkle in her eye. Age – 40-60; Soprano

Geoffrey – The uninvited guest, a college student; the juvenile. Seemingly innocent and earnest but with enough mystery to keep us guessing. Age – 19-26; Tenor.
