10 AM – 5:30 PM 250 West 54th Street

Lunch break 1PM – 1:30 PM. New York City

Please prepare a short song in the style of the show. Singing from the show is fine. Bring sheet music; accompanist provided.

Please bring a picture and resume, stapled together.

Seeking:

Adam Pontipee:

Tall, well built, mountain man type. 20s – 30s; Strong baritone voice. Can play bravado with a tender, romantic underside. Good comic abilities.

Millie Understudy:

Young beautiful leading lady; 20s; strong; sassy; an independent frontier woman with a strong romantic side; good comic abilities (note: the role of Millie is CAST. Seeking understudy only)

Benjamin:

Second oldest brother – a younger version of Adam but with a more open and innocent persona. Very strong dancer/singer.

Gideon:

Youngest brother, eager, naïve, idolizes Adam and worships Millie. Very strong dancer/singer

Ruth:

Oldest bride, 20s; mother hen/leader to the other brides, very strong dancer/singer

Alice:

Youngest bride, female counterpart to Gideon, young naïve, romantic, very strong dancer/singer

Parson Bixby:

Character man 40s-50s, can sing and has good comic instinct

Mrs. Bixby:

Strong frontier woman no-nonsense; can sing and has good comic instinct

Note: ALL OTHER BROTHERS AND BRIDES WILL BE CAST FROM THE DANCE CALL
