No appointment necessary.

All dancers should wear dance attire and bring appropriate footwear (character shoes, jazz shoes, ballroom shoes, etc.) Dancers will not need to bring sheet music. All male singers auditioning for the role of CROONER should bring a 1940’s song. Accompanist will be provided. Please bring a picture and resume, stapled together.

*Salary note: Housing is available for both Equity and Non-Equity performers. SENTIMENTAL JOURNEY is under an AGVA contract. AGVA Contract follows the terms of EQUITY DT Contract.

SHOW SYNOPSIS

Take a fantastic ride into the past-to wartime America of the 1940s. Filled with classic songs, handsome soldiers, beautiful nurses and exciting partner dancing that evoke the lindy hop and the jitterbug of days gone by.

Seeking:

Crooner:

A masculine romantic leading man type with a 1940’s vocal quality. Strong Mover. Handsome and dapper like a young Frank Sinatra. Must also be adept at comedy as this role functions as the master of ceremonies.

5 Male Swing Dancers:

Strong masculine male dancers with advanced technique in Swing dancing and partnering. (5’10 to 6’2” in height and very fit) Must be able to lift.

5 Female Swing Dancers:

Beautiful female dancers with advanced technique in Swing dancing and partnering.
