Based on 20th-Century impressionist artist Mark Rothko. Examines a period in Rothko’s life in the 1950s when he was commissioned to paint murals for the new Four Seasons Restaurant in New York for $35,000. Was he selling out to the establishment or was he subliminally attacking them? Play examines Rothko’s mind and relationship with himself, his young intern, his art and all of us.
