very dark play about a man and his relationship with his Grandmother, a survivor of the Armenian genocide.
---
SEEKING:
Michael Kiriakos: Late 30’s – Early 40’s. A writer. American, half Armenian. Intelligent, articulate, and warm. Rudderless, and haunted by his past, Michael is desperately trying to find an identity before the impending birth of his first child.
Gabriella Kiriakos: Late 30’s- Early 40’s. Michael’s wife. Italian. Strong, smart and maternal, Gabriella is a throwback to the strong matriarchal women of old Europe, who ran their households with warm hearts and iron fists.
Rose “Vartouhi” Afratian: 65-75. A mysterious older woman. Cautious and guarded, Rose was born near the iron mines of Armenia, if you didn’t know any better, you’d think she was made of the stuff herself. She is a force of nature.
