Lunch from 1:30 – 2:30. Auditioning in Theatre 54; Holding Room is Penthouse 5

Prepare either:
1) A brief monologue (no longer than 2 minutes); or 2) a brief song from the season; or 3) a one minute monologue and 16 bars of a song from one of the shows in the season. If singing, bring sheet music; accompanist provided.
Bring picture and resume, stapled together.

FIVE GUYS NAMED MOE
Book by Clarke Peters, Lyrics & Music by Louis Jordan and others

Seeking:
Normax:
The young man who the Moes come to “save”. He has lots of growing up to do during their visit. Crooner.
Big Moe:
Tall, authoritative, but with a gleam in his eye. Could also be on heavier side.
Eat Moe:
Always extremely focused on food, excellent with ballads. Could be either very thin or overweight.
Four-eyed Moe:
The leader: magnetic and pragmatic.
Little Moe:
High tenor and high energy (acrobatics welcome)
No Moe:
The no-nonsense Moe, but his earnestness is funny.
Note: all Moes need to be collaborative, inventive, excellent with audience participation, strong singers and dancers (including tap), and good at improv. All ethnicities encouraged. All actors guys need to be able to capture the essence of the 1930's sensibilities.

Age 60, was exonerated after being charged with shipping damaged airplane cylinder heads out of his factory during WWII, inadvertently causing the deaths of 21 pilots. For three and a half years he has placed the blame on his partner and former neighbor, Steve Deever.
Kate Keller:
50s. Kate knows that Joe is guilty but lives in denial while mourning for her elder son Larry, who has been MIA for three years.
