Based on the Oscar-winning movie “The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of The Desert”, the musical tells the funny and moving story of three drag performers who set off from Sydney across the Australian desert in a battered, old tour bus christened “Priscilla”. The show contains classic pop and disco hits such as “I Will Survive” and “I Love the Nightlife”.
Seeking the following available role only:
Benjamin (Alternate):
Seeking a boy, 8 – 11 years old, to play age 8. Benjamin is the son of Mitzi/Tick (the best drag queen in the business) and his estranged wife Marion (a hotel entertainment manager). Marion has brought Benjamin up to be sweet and open-minded. Mitzi/Tick has not seen him for many years. Acting and some singing ability needed. Dance ability optional, not essential. The actor will need to learn an Australian accent.
Casting Directors’ statement: “Actors of all ethnicities are welcome to attend.”
