PASSION - Classic Stage Company Auditions

Giorgio:
AVAILABLE ROLE. Man, late 20s. Handsome soldier. Shattered and ultimately changed by his unconditional and obsessive love of Fosca. His reputation for heroics precedes him. Possible nudity required (none at auditions). Strong baritone/tenor.

Colonel Ricci:
AVAILABLE ROLE. Man, 40s–50s. The regiment’s commanding officer. A rather taut gentleman who carries the weight of his position with authority and ease. Baritone/tenor, up to a top G.

Doctor Tambourri / The Father:
AVAILABLE ROLE. Male, 50s–60s. Doctor: The regiment's attending physician. Somewhat aloof and distinguished older officer. Father: Fosca’s father, in flashback. Baritone, up to a top F.

Fosca:
CAST (Judy Kuhn). Auditioning performers will be considered as possible (emergency) replacements, should any become necessary. Woman, 30s–40s. The Colonel’s chronically ill cousin. Intense, complex, deeply intelligent – often obsessed/fitful. Strong mezzo soprano. 

Clara:
CAST (Melissa Errico). Auditioning performers will be considered as possible (emergency) replacements, should any become necessary. Woman, 30s. Beautiful. A married woman having an affair with Giorgio. Rhapsodically in love with Girogio, yet also melancholy given the confines of her situation. Possible nudity required.
