11 AM – 7 PM 155 1st Avenue (between 9th and 10th Streets)

Lunch from 2:30 – 3:30 New York, NY

Sides will be provided at the audition. Bring picture and resume, stapled together (no paper clips)

Seeking:

Young Woman:

Romantic lead, confused college junior in her 20s. Naive but sexy. Prone to follow her mother's footsteps and marry a total stranger. Adept at ballet and martial arts a plus. Any ethnicity.

Lighting Assistant:

Romantic lead. Nervous wreck of a guy in his 20s who hasn't the faintest idea what to do with his life or how to make a living, incompetent but likeable. Any ethnicity.

Mother:

Lead. Feisty. Newspaper photographer in her 40s. Impossible but charming, a divorcee with innumerable grievances and multiple cancers. Any ethnicity.

Father:

Lead. Passive aggressive goofball in his 40s. Divorced but forever seeking reconciliation. Skirts his depression by screwing around. A licensed electrician. Any ethnicity.

Director:

Lead. Overweight woman in her late 50s with a booming voice and tyrannical standards who has never staged a hit. Any ethnicity.

Author:

Lead. Short, psychotic grandmother in her 60s or 70s, constantly apologizing for everything. Any ethnicity.

Three Understudies For Young Woman:

Eager-beavers in their 20s who storm the stage to compete for the role/ adept at dance and martial arts. Any ethnicity.

Audience Member:

A doctor, cancer specialist. In his 30s to 60s. Any ethnicity.

Stage Hand:

Adept at physical comedy and slapstick/ 20s to 60s/ any ethnicity.
