*Seeking true actor/musician/singers. All cast members must play an instrument(s). Where not specified the creative team is open to a range of different instruments. Most helpful are the guitar, piano, fiddle, violin, bass, harmonica & accordion, but submissions do not have to be limited to these instruments exclusively.*
SEEKING:
Guy:
(early 30s) Guitarist and folk/rock singer with a high range. Weary of life and insecure of his place in the world but still has a spark and wit which emerges as he spends more time with GIRL. Must sing and play guitar EXTREMELY well. Must have an excellent Irish accent.
Girl:
(Late 20s) Pianist and folk-y singer. Direct, witty and unbelievably cool. Has had to work hard at life but doesn't think she deserves any sympathy. Must sing and play the piano EXTREMELY well. Must have an excellent Eastern European accent.
Billy:
(Late 30s – Early 50s) Irish with Spanish blood (ie Irish with dark hair). Bass player and singer. Loud and witty. Must sing and play the bass guitar extremely well. Irish accent.
Da:
(Male 50/60s) Irish. Frail but fighting. Can seem harsh but has a good heart. Irish accent.
Andrej:
(Male late 20s) Czech. Loud and jolly. Eastern European accent.
Svec:
(Male late 20s) Czech. Plays drums. More somber, less loud and jolly then the others. Should be odd. Must be an excellent drummer. Eastern European accent.
Reza:
(Female late 20s) Czech. A great singer. Likes shouting and make up. Often a bit larger then life. Must sing extremely well. Eastern European accent.
Baruska:
(Female 50s). Czech. Likes a full house and full stomachs. Not many inhibitions. Eastern European accent.
Bank Manager:
(Male 30/40s) Irish. Seems quite prim and nerdy but has a passion for music. Must play rhythm guitar well. Irish accent.
Eamon:
(Male 30s 40s) Irish. Music studio manager. A tough nut to crack but eventually gives into the musician’s talents. Irish accent.
