Flambé Dreams tells the story of a young man from Preston, Idaho who comes to New York City to pursue his dream of becoming a great Maitre d' like his father, who was killed in a freak flaming Bananas Foster accident.

All of the roles in Flambé Dreams require excellent comic actor/singers who can play extreme characters from a place of truth. The inhabitants of Flambé Dreams are all just a little left of center.

[Joe Christiansen] 20s-early 30s. A naive young man from Preston, Idaho who dreams of becoming a great Maitre d'. Appealing but not traditionally handsome. Quirky and comic. Bari-tenor.

[Elaine Christiansen] mid40s-early 60s Joe's Mother. A sweet child psychologist from Idaho who manipulates her son with medication but has the best intentions. Her sunny deposition hides a dark secret. Alto with some head voice.

[Desirée/Didi] 20s-30s. Desirée is a friendly neighborhood hooker and Gloria's best friend. Didi is a celebrity obsessed temptress with a fetish for maitre d's. Both of these characters are sexy and outrageous. Mezzo-soprano with belt.

[Gloria White] 20s-early 30s. A quirky Duane Reade pharmacist who wears her heart on her sleeve. Soprano. (This role is CAST: seeking possible replacements)

[Father Figures] mid 40s-early 60s. This facile character actor plays all the father figures that come into Joe's life including an old man from Idaho, a hippy-dippy owner of an East Village tearoom, a Japanese noodle shop owner, and the very French maitre d' of Le Cirque. Bari-tenor. (This role is CAST: seeking possible replacements)

Two men discover the elixir of immortality in 1625. They drink, become immortal, and fall in love with the same mortal woman. Spanning several centuries and set to a sweeping, romantic score.

[WILL TIMESON] mid 20’s – mid 30’s. TENOR (Bb2-Bb4). Will was born to privilege, he is exceptionally bright and more than a bit selfish. He is a physician and a chemist and has devoted his young life to creating an elixir of immortality. Charming and charismatic, he is madly in love with Fiona . (London Dialect).

[JACK MERCER] mid 20’s – mid 30’s BARITENOR (A2-G4). Jack is a darker, brooding man. Also brilliant in his own way, Jack is a surgeon, more likely to dissect a corpse than to mix chemicals together. In many ways, he is the yang to Will’s yin. Jack was taken in by Will’s family at a young age. Before that, he was a thief on the streets of London, so Will is the closest thing to family he’s ever had. Jack also falls in love with Fiona. Jack is a man of few words, but every word he says carries a mountain of weight behind it. (London Dialect).

[JIM HAWKINS] Age 50-60. TENOR (C3-G4 Hawkins is – first and foremost – a gardener. He comes from a long line of gardeners. It is his passion and his love. He is a simple man who perhaps doesn’t realize how profound some of his thoughts are. When talking about flowers, he becomes a poet. He is Mrs. Morgan’s (Will’s housekeeper) love interest. (Cockney Dialect).

[ANNA FAIRWIGHT] Age 40-50. MEZZO SOPRANO, LEGIT (Bb3-F#5). Beautiful and fragile, Anna is Fiona’s mother, and Jack’s love interest in the 1849-1850 part of the story. Anna is dying, and bedridden. She has a quiet sense of humor, and she is deeply moved by Jack’s continued care for her. Anna knows that Jack is immortal. She made a choice to marry for stability and security rather than for love, and has severe regrets. (London Dialect).

[LORD FAIRWIGHT]. Age 55-60. BARITONE/BASS (F3-Eb4). Preferably tall and imposing. Lord Fairwight is Anna’s husband and Fiona’s father. He is oblivious to the affair that has been going on between Anna and Jack for more than twenty years. He is a man used to being obeyed. (London Dialect).

[FIONA FAIRWIGHT] CAST. late teens – mid 20’s. MEZZO BELT (G3-Eb5). Fiona is a beautiful, strong-willed woman who defies her gender role in the 1600s and runs away from home in order to apprentice herself to Will and Jack. She falls in love with Will. Very opinionated, she is against the concept of immortality, and chooses to die rather than live forever. (London Dialect).

[MRS. MORGAN] CAST. mid 40’s – mid 50’s. MEZZO SOPRANO, LEGIT (G3-F#5). Mrs. Morgan is Will’s housekeeper. She drinks the elixir in 1627 so that she can continue to care for Will as he travels through eternity. She is virtually Will’s mother. She is exceedingly practical, with a good dose of humor. (London Dialect).

It's summer and the temperature's rising when suddenly every beach on the Jersey Shore is threatened with closure: The water is too polluted for swimming! That is until Rob -- a small town pool technician -- stumbles upon an opportunity that will change his life and save the sea. But when a local handy man's lust for power and revenge threatens Rob's world, the two rivals are thrust into battle to restore the ocean and win the heart of a woman they both love. A musical comedy about love, lust, and chlorine.

1.Rob-Age: 40’s-50's. He is happy go lucky type, whose world revolves around chlorine. He is a grown man with the mind of a child. Physically, he is on the heavier side weight wise. Almost like a young Rob Reiner meets Zach Galifianakis.

2.Jackie- Age: 40's/ early fifties. Hardened,"NY/NJ" type woman, rough around the edges, definitely not an ingenue. Ideally, the actress should be more like a Carmella Soprano/ Lorraine Braco type that can sing. Physically she is long and lean.

3.Andy- Age: 40’s-Mid fifties. On the surface, he is a typical leading man type , handsome, tall, strong singing voice. He is intelligent man who is quietly angry and frustrated by Rob’s. I envisioned the actor to be like a James Naughton meets Rex Harrison.

4. Marie- Age: 40’s plus. African American. She is Rob’s mother. Seeking Large actress, who is capable of doing a NY/NJ Italian dialect. She must have a big voice with some jazz influences.

6. Steve plus radio voiceovers and Man #3- Age: late 30's/early 40's. Average, clean cut, guy next door type. Would be great if he can do those radio announcer voices .

7.Bea -Age: late 40’s. A woman who is heavy on hair and makeup, but is still a bit rough around the edges.

8. Older male ensemble type. Age: 60's. This could be a older guy, since . Also, someone who could play blue and white collar types. A Danny Aiello type.

9. Buff Male ensemble Age: 20's/30's. This could be a young jock/ body building type

10. Flashy female ensemble member – Age: Any Age This particular woman should always be wearing a neon or bright white colored outfit adorned with a large black wig and dark sunglasses. This is the type of Jersey woman that can be described as a female Elvis. (Quite a few of these types can be found at the bars of many restaurants along the jersey shoreline.)
