For the auditions, prepare a 90 second contemporary monologue . If you are a singer, please also prepare 32 bars of a contemporary musical theatre uptempo or ballad.

Jamie Wellerstein:
(Bari-tenor/Tenor): Late 20s – Early 30s. A successful Jewish young writer, Jamie is both headstrong and charming. Despite being both highly intelligent and extremely understanding, he has a way of getting swept up in his own career.
Cathy Hyatt (Soprano):
Late 20s – Mid 30s. A transplant to NYC to start her acting career, Cathy is still a small-town All-American girl at heart. Kind, driven and talented, Cathy requires a stable system of support if she’s going to flourish. All ethnicities welcome

Jason:
25. A writer who has had to be responsible for himself and his brother Tommy starting at a very young age. Deeply troubled by his past, he struggles to help those around him and find purpose in his life. All ethnicities welcome.
Scott:
28. The boss of Suicide, Incorporated, Scott is a fast talking Alpha-male whose own inner demons seem to drive his seemingly unquenchable desire for success. All ethnicities welcome.
Perry:
26. Scott’s most loyal employee, Perry tries his best to fill every work day with a chipper “can do” attitude and friendly smile. All ethnicities welcome.
Norm:
29. A client of Suicide, Inc., Norm is trying to perfect his suicide note. After tragically ruining his relationship and his career, he desires that his last act on Earth not seem “small.” All ethnicities welcome.
Tommy:
19. Jason’s brother, currently in college. Tommy is having an emotionally difficult time adjusting to college, and is accustomed to leaning heavily on Jason for support. All ethnicities welcome.
Officer:
30s. A police officer. All ethnicities welcome.
