Please be warmed up and ready to dance when the call begins. All: Jazz shoes/sneakers. Women: Bring character heels, too. Some may be asked to stay and sing after all have danced. Please prepare 16 bars of a song (traditional theatre music: Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, Gershwin, Rodgers & Hammerstein, Jule Styne, etc.). Bring sheet music in the correct key; accompanist is provided, but may not transpose.

Please bring a picture & resume, stapled back-to-back.

Musical screwball comedy set in 1927. All music is by George and Ira Gershwin.

Male Singers Who Move Very Well:

Characters are mid 20s - late 30s. Seeking a combination of comic character types and handsome leading men. Ensemble men play members of the vice squad and Jimmy’s friends. ALL VOCAL RANGES. Principal covers will come from the ensemble singers.

Female Singers Who Move Very Well:

Characters are 20s - early 30s. Seeking beautiful, sexy singers to play 1920s chorus girls and Jimmy’s friends. ALL VOCAL RANGES. Principal covers will come from the ensemble singers.

Male Dancers Who Sing Well:

Characters are 20s - early 30s. Seeking masculine, handsome and dashing dancers with very strong jazz and ballet technique. Ensemble men play members of the vice squad and Jimmy’s friends.

Female Dancers Who Sing Well:

Characters are 20s - early 30s. Seeking beautiful, sexy, very strong dancers who sing very well to play 1920s chorus girls and Jimmy’s friends. Strong jazz and ballet technique.
