For a five-minute appointment, call (305) 443-5373 x305 and leave a message. Please wait patiently for the call confirming your appointment. Equity Members without appointments will be seen throughout each audition day, as time permits.

Please prepare two contrasting monologues (contemporary/classical) totaling no more than three minutes. Because of the nature of world premieres, scripts cannot leave the Theatre’s premises. However, perusal copies of the plays are available to actors with appointments.

Please bring a current picture and resume, stapled together. Note any foreseeable conflicts in attachment to resume. Professional attire is strongly recommended.

  • All roles are available unless otherwise specified. For pre-cast roles, auditioning performers will be considered as possible replacements, should any become necessary.
  • No housing is available to out-of-area performers.

JACK GOES BOATING by Bob Glaudini. 1st reh: 9/21/10. Runs 10/8–10/31.

Southeastern premiere. Time: Today. Place: New York. Laced with cooking classes, swimming lessons and a smorgasbord of illegal drugs, this is a touching and warm-hearted play about learning how to stay afloat in the deep water of day-to-day living where date panic, martial meltdown, betrayal and the prevailing grace of the human spirit abound.

Connie:

30s. Emotionally imperfect woman. An embalming assistant.

Jack:

30s. Emotionally reserved limo driver, dreaming of more.

Clyde:

30s. Fast-talking limo driver. Married to Lucy.

Lucy:

30s. Fast-talking sales rep for a funeral home. Married to Clyde.

FIZZ by Rogelio Martinez. 1st reh: 10/26/10. Runs 11/19-12/12.

Southeastern premiere. Time: 1950/1985/1987. Location: Havana; Atlanta; New York. Gun-toting Southern belles, cocaine-loving Rockettes and insane soda execs all take part in this based-on-a-true-story comedy about one of history’s biggest flops -- the creation of New Coke.

Roberto Goizueta:

Hispanic man, 40s-50s. Charismatic CEO of Coca-Cola®.

The following seven actors play multiple characters/ensemble, with multiple accents:

Actor 1:

Female characters (including Trixie), 20s.

Actor 2:

Female characters (including Deb), late 20s/early 30s.

Actor 3:

Female characters (including Nora), 20s/30s.

Actor 4:

Male characters (including Ron), 40s/50s.

Actor 5:

Male characters (including Wilbur), 20s/30s.

Actor 6:

Male characters (including The Competition), 30s/40s.

Actor 7:

Male characters (including Mr. Federov), 30s/40s.

THE RADIANT by Shirley Lauro. 1st reh: 3/1/11. Runs 3/25/11 – 4/17/11.

World premiere. Place: Paris; Normandy; the south of France. Time: 1907 – 1913. The tempestuous, dramatic life of Marie Curie, one of the world’s first recognized woman scientists, whose discovery and isolation of radium earned her two Nobel Prizes and revolutionized science forever, as she ushered in “The Atomic Age” and the first cure for cancer.

Katarina:

Polish female, late teens/early 20s. Strong-spirited, dramatic, pretty pianist. Marie’s niece from Poland.

Paul Langevin:

French, 20s. Handsome. Brilliant but naïve. Sensual. Assistant to Marie’s husband.

Chief Paymaster / Professor Wilbois / Lord Kelvin / Secretary Oleffsen:

Multi-character track (age range 40-60s) for one actor. Actor must be great with French, German, Swedish, Scottish or English accents.

Marie Sklodowska Curie:

CAST. Polish woman, 40s. Ethereal beauty. Has lived in France for many years.

A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE by Tennessee Williams. 1st reh: 4/26/11. Runs 5/20/11 – 6/12/11.

Setting: In and around a corner building on a street in New Orleans. This modern classic follows the decline of a fading Southern belle and the sexy, beer-chugging barbarian responsible for her tragic fall.

Blanche DuBois: 30s/40s.

Stella Kowalski: 20s/30s.

Stanley Kowalski: 20s/30s.

Harold “Mitch” Mitchell: 30s/40s.

Eunice / Ensemble: 30s/40s.

Steve / Ensemble: 30s/40s.

Pablo / Ensemble: 20s/30s.

Doctor / Ensemble: 50s.

Nurse / Ensemble: 50s.
