Katie Paxton:

African American female aged late 20s: A bit dweeby, she finds great comfort in watching episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation. She’s on a quest to find answers to the questions that have formed her life for the past 25 years. With wry, dry wit, her humor is self-deprecating. Actress must be adept at portraying several different characters inside of several long direct address monologues. Stand-up experience helpful, but not essential.

Man:

African American male aged 35-55: He plays multiple roles. His only “real” role is as a postal worker. He then becomes a projection surface for Marybeth’s and Katie’s memories. As he is a manipulative of the main character’s imagination, he also sometimes plays the main character’s dissenting inner voices. Must be able to bring humor to moments of great pathos.
