Please prepare a brief Motown song that shows range. Bring sheet music in the correct key; an accompanist will be provided, but may not transpose.

Please bring a photo and resume, stapled back-to-back.

Seeking (all listed roles are available):

Casting directors’ note: “Because most of these characters are real people, although we are not seeking impersonators, we do want actors that evoke the look and sound of these music icons. Please research photos of those you don’t know and [audition] only [if] you believe [you] could play these characters … Body type should be similar … All actors must sing very well in the style of the characters they are portraying. All must also be subtle actors who can capture the essence of this time period.”

African American man, 20s - early 30s. LEAD.

Little Berry Gordy / Stevie Wonder / Michael Jackson:

Seeking boy age 8-13 to play age 8. Characters in this track are African American. Performer must sing like Michael Jackson à la “I Want You Back”. LEAD.
