Seeking:

Rene Gallimard:

Male, 35 - 50. Diplomat, efficient, slightly self-effacing, cultured, having an uncharacteristic affair with a Chinese Opera singer

Song Liling:

25 - 45. Asian. Seeking a male who must be able to pass as a female. Sharp, playful, cunning: posing as a female Opera singer, ability to sing helpful. Full and/or partial nudity required (but not at auditions)

Comrad Chin/Suzuki/Shu Fang:

Female, 25-35. Asian. Plays 3 characters: Chin: member of Chinese/Mao's spy ring, pragmatist but passionate. Suzuki: dry, unenthusiastic attendant for Song Liling. Shu Fang: subordinate servant girl to Song Liling.

Marc/Man 2/Sharpless:

Male. 30-40, Plays 3 characters: Marc: best friend & schoolmate, educated, sexually mischievous. Man 2: Embassy party-goer gossip. Consul: American, a character from the Opera Madame Butterfly, a realist
