CHICAGO
Seeking extremely versatile actors/singers. Some of the roles must dance or move extremely well. Al must be charming, sophisticated, funny, excellent a physical comedy and be strong harmony singers.
ROXY HART: female, 25-40. An 'innocent' opportunist who wants to be in show business. Must be sexy & funny, be a strong dancer in the Fosse style and be able to belt.
VELMA KELLY: female, 24-40. A sassy, outspoken show biz murderer who will stop at nothing to keep her fame rolling. Must be sexy, tough, funny and sarcastic, be a strong dancer in the Fosse style and be able to belt.
BILLY FLYNN: male, 35-50. A suave educated lawyer who can persuade anyone to do anything—his clients literally get away with murder. Must be sexy, handsome, masculine and charming, have a high baritone voice and move well.
AMOS HART: male, 35-50. A likeable, funny, vulnerable, timid man, so in love with his wife, Roxy, that he would mortgage anything to pay for her outrageous extravagances; must sing well and be physically adept; a character actor.
MATRON"MAMA" MORTON: female, 40-55. The cell block matron of the ladies on Murderer’s Row. Sexy, funny, tough and slightly butch. Must have a big belt voice and move well; character actress.
MARY SUNSHINE: male, 20-40. A male soprano or countertenor who can sing legitimately up to a high B flat; must play a woman convincingly with the image of a good natured reporter but who is actually a high powered gossip columnist. Must be great comedian and move well.
FIVE GUYS NAMED MOE
Seeking 6 extremely versatile African American male actor/singer/dancers. All must be exceptionally strong part singers, good comedians, have excellent improvisational skills and move well. Must work well as part of an ensemble and be able to interact and improv with the audience.
BIG MOE: Tall and authoritative, the leader of the group. Should be well over 6 ft. in height. Bass/baritone.
EAT MOE: A hungry Moe, he's a merry, rotund guy. Should be larger, but still be able to dance. Is always thinking about the next meal. Baritone/tenor.
FOUR-EYED MOE: The bespectacled, clear-sighted member of the group, irreverent and magnetic. Baritone/tenor.
LITTLE MOE: A little Moe who likes his women large. Should be shorter in height, funny with lots of energy. High tenor (up to B-flat).
NO MOE: The straight laced Moe. Follows the rules and must be edged out of his comfort zone. Leading man type, charismatic and handsome. Baritone.
NOMAX: male, 30-40. Handsome, in shape guy who’s down on his luck. Must be a charismatic, leading man type.
THE 39 STEPS
Seeking 4 extremely versatile comedic actors (3 male, 1 female) to play a variety of wild and zany characters. Must be adept at an extensive array of English and Scottish dialects and extreme physical comedy. All must be in shape as the show is extremely taxing physically and vocally. Sides from the show will be provided.
RICHARD HANNAY: male, 35-45. Extremely handsome, fit leading man. Must have the air of an upper class Englishman with a convincing English dialect. Suave, agile and a brilliant physical comic.
PAMELA/ANNABELLA SCHMIDT/OTHERS: female, 30-40. Beautiful, Hitchcock femme fatale with the ability to play 5 different characters with a variety of accents (German, English, Scottish). Must be physically fit and adept at physical comedy.
CLOWN 1: male, 30-50. A character actor. Must be able to play roughly 20 characters, switching characters sometimes in the middle of a scene. Must be physically fit and agile with the ability to do a variety of accents, voices and character types.

Preparation
Prepare 2 songs in style of show: contemporary musical theatre for CHICAGO, contrasting standard (no pop or contemp mus thtr) for 5 GUYS. Song from shows OK. Bring music; accompanist provided. Bring book.
39 STEPS audition will be sides available at Equity and Sides Express.
Bring photo/resume.
