This is a musical. All actors must be funny, quirky, versatile performers along the lines of Saturday Night Live or Forbidden Broadway. All actors must be strong singers with a pop sensibility.

ALL ACTORS MUST BE AVAILABLE TO AUDITION, REHEARSE, AND PERFORM FROM NYC.

ALL ACTORS ARE SIGNED ON AS ACTOR/ASMs. As such, are required to unload/ load, setup and/or strike the set. No single piece of scenery shall exceed such proportions of height or weight as to make it impossible to be carried reasonably by two members of the company.

SEEKING A DIVERSE COMPANY OF ACTORS FOR:

Martha:

18+ female, with a strong clear mix, up to a D - a yappy, chatty, but likable pooch. Gains the power of speech after eating alphabet soup. Perhaps a young Joy Behar/Barbara Streisand type.

Dad/Mr Terrington:

18+ male, tenor- a good, sitcom dad. Also plays a brash Texan oil tycoon.

Mom/Mrs Spannawick:

18+ female, alto - Mrs. Brady-esque mom. Also plays an old, rich and ditzy widow.

Helen:

18+ female, soprano- a plucky 10-year old who loves her dog.

Inn Keeper:

18+ male, character baritone- funny character guy. Man of a thousand accents. Plays a nosy neighbor, a teenage girl and her poodle, a German scientist, Italian chef, female flight attendant and the villain of our story, hell-bent on catching the dog that has infiltrated his Inn, among others. Should be comfortable with multiple dialects.
