10 AM - 6 PM 520 Eighth Avenue, 16th Floor

Lunch from 1:30 – 2:30. New York City

Sides will be provided at the audition. Please bring a picture & resume, stapled back-to-back.

Setting: Greenwich Village, New York on a July evening in 1934.

Seeking:

Carol Penn:

AVAILABLE ROLE. 20s. Basil’s girlfriend. An actress. Attractive, smart and modern woman. Genuinely cares for Basil.

David Beeston:

AVAILABLE ROLE. Late 20s – mid 30s. Accountant. Smart and confident of his calculations, but no match for the skilled operator he is up against in Gregor.

Understudy for Sven Johnson and Mark Herries:

AVAILABLE POSITION. Late 40s - 50s. Sven: Gregor’s right-hand man. They’ve worked together for years. Genial, but sly. Mark: A slick businessman in his own right.

Understudy for Basil Anthony and David Beeston:

AVAILABLE POSITION. Basil: 20s. Piano player. Raised in England, so he speaks with a British accent. Struggles a bit with self-contempt, and has a complicated relationship with his father. See above for David’s description.

Understudy for Countess Antonescu and Carol Penn:

AVAILABLE POSITION. This understudy should be able to play 30s. Countess: 40s. Gregor’s wife. Plucked from a typing pool in London, she has married up. British accent. Despite her complicated relationship with her husband, she does genuinely care for him in her way. See above for Carol’s description.
