The Other Mirror in partnership with 3 Legged Dog (NYC) Equity Showcase, approval pending

Rehearsal Dates: November 15th-December 7th.

Production Dates: December 7th-December 12th.

NYC auditions will be held mid to late October 2011, by appointment only.

Madame Bovary marks the debut production of the theater company, the Other Mirror. Adapted and directed by Katherine Carter, Madame Bovary looks at the classic Flaubert novel through Emma's memory. The piece was first developed at The Directors Company in 2009, and is now moving to 3 Legged Dog for a three week Residency.

Seeking:

Charles Bovary:

Late 30s-early 40s Caucasian Male. Charles Bovary is the local town doctor and is married to Emma. He is sweet, loving, compassionate and always assumes the best in everyone, including his wife.

Rodolphe Boulanger:

30s Caucasian Male. Rodolphe is a handsome, charming, and wealthy landowner. He is Emma’s dream man and first lover. Yet, behind his suave veneer is a selfish and deceitful playboy.

Leon:

20s-30s Caucasian Male. Leon is Emma’s second lover and friend. He and Emma share many interests and ideas in common. Both are hopeless romantics, who easily idealize situations to unrealistic proportions

L’Heureux:

30s-50s Male. L’Heureux is the town merchant and moneylender. He is too good at his job.
