William Shakespeare's Macbeth: 18 Adult Actors Ages 15-70 and 3 Children - Ages 10 and Up
The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) by Adam Long, Daniel Singer, Jess Winfield: 3 Actors

Both shows will be performed in Repretory.


PREPARATION

BREAKDOWN

Macbeth (Male 35-45) - Macbeth is a Scottish general and the thane of Glamis

Lady Macbeth (Female 35-45)- Macbeth’s wife, a deeply ambitious woman who lusts for power and position.

The Three Witches (Male or Female 12-40) - Three “black and midnight hags” who plot mischief against Macbeth using charms, spells, and prophecies.

Banquo (Male 25-50)- The brave, noble general whose children, according to the witches’ prophecy, will inherit the Scottish throne.

King Duncan (Male 450-50)- The good King of Scotland whom Macbeth, in his ambition for the crown, murders.

Macduff (Male 28-40)- A Scottish nobleman hostile to Macbeth’s kingship from the start.

Malcolm (Male 20-30)- The son of Duncan, whose restoration to the throne signals Scotland’s return to order following Macbeth’s reign of terror.

Fleance (Male 15-20)- Banquo’s son, who survives Macbeth’s attempt to murder him.

Lennox (Male 28-48)- A Scottish nobleman

Ross (Male 25-48)- A Scottish nobleman

The Murderers (3 Males 25-40)- A group of ruffians conscripted by Macbeth to murder Banquo, Fleance (whom they fail to kill), and Macduff’s wife and children

Porter (Male 25-60)- The drunken doorman of Macbeth’s castle

Lady Macduff (Female 28-40)- Macduff’s wife. The scene in her castle provides our only glimpse of a domestic realm other than that of Macbeth and Lady Macbeth.

Donalbain (Male 20-30)- Duncan’s son and Malcolm’s younger brother

Ensemble, Lords, Servants, Soldiers and Messengers - Remaining ensemble ranging in age of 8-70.
