Seeking:

Theatre’s casting note: “We are looking for theater artists who would like to join a strong existing ensemble company.” The following roles will be or may be on Equity contracts.

Siward: AVAILABLE ROLE. 50s-60s. Uncle to Malcolm and Donalbain.

Porter: AVAILABLE ROLE. 50+. Comic, drunken doorman of Macbeth’s castle.

Lennox: AVAILABLE ROLE. 30s-40s. Nobleman; aids in battle against Macbeth.

Ross: AVAILABLE ROLE. 40s-50s. Scottish nobleman. Slippery. Ambiguous.

The following roles are cast. Auditioning performers will be considered as possible (emergency) replacements, should any become necessary.

Lady Macbeth:

CAST. 20s-40s. Strong-willed, ambitious. Able to use her strengths to spur her husband on in his ambitions.

Lady Macduff:

CAST. 20s-40s. Nurturing mother and wife. Her home serves as a stark contrast to that of Lady Macbeth.

Macbeth:

CAST. 40s-50s. Powerful, ambitious leader. Unable to bear the psychological torment of his villainy.

Banquo:

CAST. 40s-60s. Ambitious yet honorable man whose children, according to the witches’ prophecy, will inherit the Scottish throne.

Macduff:

CAST. 40s-50s. Scottish nobleman. Leader of the crusade to unseat Macbeth and to avenge the death of his children.

By car from New York: Just off CT15-N, exit 61 for Whitney Avenue toward Hamden. Turn right at Whitney Avenue. Clarion Hotel is on the left. Parking lot is free.
