The LA Phil’s pioneering Symphonies for Youth mix music with fun and fantasy for children ages 5-11. Each SFY concert is a dramatic presentation, conducted by a Dudamel Conducting Fellow and staged by theater artists.

EPA Procedures are in effect for this audition.

Philharmonic's 2024 Season.

SEEKING:

BEYOND VOLUME: MUSIC AND

DEAFNESS:

HOST: A likable, approachable narrator who will guide the audience between music, visuals and dance. There is no specific age range or gender for this role. NOTE: familiarity with American Sign Language a plus.

ENSEMBLE: 3-6 actors for various roles.

Roles will be portraying ages 13-50.

SWAN LAKE REIMAGINED:

HOST/Wizard: This character will help to tell the story of Swan Lake, all while morphing into the character of the Wizard. NOTE:

Dance experience is preferred, but not required.

ENSEMBLE: 3-6 actors for various roles.

Roles will be portraying ages 13-50.

PREPARATION

Please prepare a dramatic or comedic monologue that would be appropriate for ages 10-18. Please bring your headshot and resume stapled together.
