Initial contract: One-week rehearsal/development period in South Florida (some time during December 2010 to beginning of January 2011). Actor may then be invited to continue development process throughout 2011. It is hoped this process will culminate in a full touring season towards end of 2011, specific dates TBD.

Equity Monitor begins sign-up at 8:30 AM. New York City

Sides will be provided at the audition. In addition, please prepare a brief folk song or popular song (preferably in Spanish) to sing a cappella.

Please bring a picture and resume, stapled together.

New music theatre work; one-man show. Text is in English, but songs will be sung in Spanish. Popular, folk, and concert music from Mexico and Central America is featured along with original compositions.

Versatile, with tremendous charisma and strong, agile command of language and physicality. To portray three renowned Latin American men:

Diego Rivera: Middle-aged muralist. Proud and passionate.

Archbishop Oscar Romero: Of San Salvador. Devout and righteous. Human rights activist.

Joaquin Murieta: Swashbuckling outlaw. Basis for the Zorro legend. A Mexican American Errol Flynn.
