SPECIAL PROCEDURES:

>> Only Equity Members may request an appointment. For an appointment, e-mail
auditionrequest@actorsequity.org . You will receive an e-mail confirmation. Do not request appointment through a third-party service. Do not submit photo/resumes (bring these to auditions).

>> Equity Members without appointments will be placed on the Alternate List, and will be seen throughout the audition session, as time permits.

>> Modified EPA procedures will be in effect. An Equity Monitor will arrive at 8:30 AM to sign Equity Members up for any times that remain after appointments have been made and/or to start the Alternate Lists and EMC List (EMCs must present themselves by 12 Noon to receive EMC privilege). Monitor will also post a non-Equity waiting list. As at all EPAs, Equity cannot guarantee that Alternates, EMCs or non-Equity actors will be seen.

Please prepare a brief up-tempo song. Bring sheet music; accompanist provided. In addition, sides will be provided at the audition. Visually-impaired performers may pick up an advance copy of sides at the Member Services Desk inside the Equity Audition Center from 9:30-5:30 on 1/13 and 1/14.

Please bring TWO sets of your stapled-together photo/resume.

Seeking:

Kid Power:

Male character, 23–40. An in-shape superhero for Nutrition/Exercise and Environmental Conservation. Seeking a strong singer/actor who moves well and can play different characters. Characters also include DJ Brady, the hip-hop rappin’ ladybug; Cool Claude, the disco-lovin’ cumulus cloud; and Ethel, the lunch lady. In addition to requiring a strong talent, this position (the production being a one-person show) requires the actor to be a mature and responsible person. It is imperative the actor be able to make the daily decisions necessary to ensure Kid Power Programs and its kids’ shows are represented as a professional leader in children’s educational theatre. Actor must have a valid driver’s license. Must work well with kids. Must not mind traveling and spending time alone. As an actor/ASM, the performer also carries props and a portable speaker.
