Young Joey / Little Jim:
Young Joey: Character is an African American 8-year-old boy; Joey as a young child. Should be charismatic and appealing. We have to believe that this young man will grow up to be a star. Actor must sing and tap well. Little Jim: Character is an African American 8-year-old boy; Jim Marshall – Joey’s uncle – as a young child. Sweet, innocent. Child of an interracial marriage. Actor must sing and tap well. Note: Character names were changed on 1/17/12, and roles were combined into a track for a single actor.
