Tenor #1
Should be in his 20s with solid high C for songs like FLY ME TO THE MOON and YOU MUST BELIEVE IN SPRING
Tenor #2
Should be African American in 30s
Tenor #3
Should be 40-something. His standout numbers include A CHILD IS BORN and THE SHADOW OF YOUR SMILE. Must have a high Bb in full voice.
Preference may be given to singers who can also intermittently play drums, stand up bass, or jazz trumpet, momentarily expanding the accompaniment from a single piano to a full jazz quartet. At this point NOT playing an instrument would not automatically eliminate singers from consideration.
For the purposes of these auditions, singers should prepare the following sides:
TENOR 1: You Must Believe in Spring and Fly Me to the Moon
TENOR 2: Rags to Riches and Stranger in Paradise
TENOR 3: Because of You and A Child is Born
