2 PM - Equity MALE dancers New York, NY

WOMEN: Please bring tap shoes and character heels

MEN: Please bring flat dance sneakers or character shoes

Please bring a picture and resume, stapled together.

Women’s Ensemble:

20s-early 30s; Excellent Dancer/Singers who also potentially cover roles below:

Rosemary:

Early 20s – Natural middle-range chest or mix to D – A secretary at the World Wide Wicket Company. Good natured and sweet but also smart and direct – knows what she wants and goes after it.

Smitty:

Early 20s; She sings where she speaks – Alto with strong, traditional belt to Bb/C. NO POP BELTS PLEASE. A secretary at the World Wide Wicket company. Wise cracking and worldly.

Hedy La Rue:

(30s) A cunning bombshell. Gorgeous woman who uses her looks and sexuality to get what she wants.

Miss Jones:

(30s – 50s); Character soprano and/or high belty mix; The head secretary. A tyrant who relishes her limited authority and lords it over the other employees.

Men’s Ensemble:

20s-30s; Excellent Dancer/Singers who also potentially cover roles below:

Pierrepont Finch:

(understudy only) Early 20s – High Baritone or Tenor with clarion G; Clever young businessman eager to climb the corporate ladder to success. Has a façade of innocence and charm.

J B Biggley:

(40s – 60s); Character baritone with the hidden soul of a crooner; Gruff and a bit blithering – struggles to appear in control. Lusts after the bombshell Hedy La Rue.

Bud Frump:

(20s – 30s) A characterful high baritone or Tenor with a commanding G; conniving nephew of the boss. Will do anything to get a promotion. Jealous of Finch and anyone who stands in his way.

Twimble/Whomper:

Twimble: Head of the mailroom at World Wide Wickets for 25 yrs. Consummate “company man”. Whomper: The BIG BOSS. A self made man. No nonsense or pretense.

Bert Bratt:

(30s-50s) – Character Bass or Baritone; Director of Personnel at World Wide Wickets – middle-management executive; “yes-man” to the Boss, will do pretty much anything to stay in good favor with upper management
