The producer will run all aspects of this call. Equity audition procedures will NOT be in effect, and no Equity Monitor will be provided.

Please prepare a brief contemporary pop or musical theatre song that shows off your belt/high mix with sheet music in the correct key. Bring your book in case you are asked for an additional selection. Bring headshot/resume stapled together.

Years ago, Katherine finally got away – from her home, her small Texas town, and, perhaps most importantly, her alcoholic mother. It is nine silent years later when Katherine, now 40, hears rumors that her mother Wendy might be dying of cancer. A reluctant Katherine, intent on putting the rumors to rest, returns to Texas.

Seeking:

Katie:

Katherine at age 13. Smart, aspiring writer, confident her dreams will take her beyond her small Texas town. Strong Texas accent. Excellent singer.

Kat:

Katherine at age 22. Jaded, pot-smoking college student. Dreams of getting out of her small Texas town, but ultimately decides to stay at home to care for her alcoholic mother. Slight Texas accent. Performer must be an excellent singer and actor with great comedic skills.

Kate:

Katherine at age 31. Aspiring writer who has had writer's block for years. Bitter about having stayed at home to care for her alcoholic mother. Sarcastic yet lovable. Standard American accent. Excellent singer and actor required.
