In the tradition of great American plays, Daisy Foote explores the institution of the American family in Him. Two siblings struggling to keep the family store afloat must decide which is a priority: their father’s final wishes, or their financial stability. It’s a choice that could tear them apart. This searing drama will receive its world premiere at Primary Stages, directed by Evan Yionoulis (The Violet Hour on Broadway).

SEEKING (roles are available unless otherwise specified):

Henry Randolph (49) is the youngest of the Randolph clan. He’s a peacemaker in the family. Has a strong core decency. But he’s lost. Never really found a career or a relationship. Seeks solace in pills, alcohol, and regular visits to nearby “boy bars."

Farley Randolph (51) is the middle of the Randolph siblings. Considered “slow.” Child-like in his capacity for excitement and in his desire for independence.

Louise (mid to late 20s) is the Randolph family’s neighbor. She is mentally like Farley, and they become a couple. Louise has a strong will and enjoys telling Farley what to do.

Pauline Randolph CAST (Hallie Foote). Auditioning performers will be considered as possible (emergency) replacements, should any become necessary. (53). Henry and Farley 's older sister. Most of the work of keeping the store and the family going falls to her. She is, by day, fiercely determined, but deeply vulnerable to a host of regrets after a night at the tavern. Longs for a fresh start and the respect of the town.
