The play deals with the controversy surrounding research into brain injuries that can be caused by the repeated head trauma suffered by football players. A family struggles with ethical and personal dilemmas while under pressure to turn the brain of a deceased running back over to a research lab. Is the very future of the game under fire?
Seeking:
Will Mitchell:
AVAILABLE ROLE. Caucasian, 30s."A Harvard grad who looks like one." Played defensive end in college, and has also been a professional wrestler. Now works for a research foundation. His affable manner hides personal secrets.
Duncan Troy:
AVAILABLE ROLE. African American, 60s. Former NFL linebacker."He was once an athlete in
Body, and is still an athlete in heart." Powerful, commanding personality, with a sense of humor.
The following roles are cast. Auditioning performers will be considered as possible (emergency) replacements, should any become necessary.
Sylvia Green:
CAST. African American, 30s. Duncan's daughter. Attractive but not superficial. Wants to do the right thing. Goes to the gym, shops at J. Crew.
Dr. Moses Odame:
CAST. Late 30s. Nigerian-born neuropathologist. Stubborn and wise.
