BREAKDOWN

[THE HOST] Mid-30s to late 40s. BIPOC. Gregarious, jovial, and larger-than-life. A HUGE personality with more than a little sass – equal parts philosopher, poet, comedian and disrupter. An inviting and engaging storyteller, The Host is the audience’s guide on this wild and crazy ride. LEAD. ACTORS OF ALL GENDERS AND LGBTQ+ PERFORMERS ENCOURAGED TO AUDITION.

[CLAY] Male. 40s. White. Handsome and well-built, a classic ‘leading man’ physicality and personality. A stunt man at the top of his game, he keeps his queerness hidden, fearing professional consequences. Underneath the masculinity and tough-guy bravado, lies a scared, vulnerable boy longing to be seen and loved. Excellent mover. EXPERIENCE IN STAGE COMBAT OR STUNTS A PLUS. LEAD. LGBTQ+ PERFORMERS ENCOURAGED TO AUDITION.

The following roles have been cast:

[FELIX] Male. Early to mid-20s. Asian American. Slender and compact in stature. A Fresh-faced and eager performer, possessive of an undeniable presence and ease. In touch with his emotions, his movement, and his body. Earnest, insightful, vulnerable, and fiercely loving. Excellent mover. EXPERIENCE IN STAGE COMBAT A PLUS.

[STUNT ENSEMBLE] A team of performers to play multiple roles and puppeteer characters. Excellent movers. EXPERIENCE WITH STUNTS OR FIGHTING/STAGE COMBAT A MUST. PUPPETRY OR PHYSICAL THEATER EXPERIENCE A PLUS. ALL AGES, ALL ETHNICITIES, ALL GENDERS.
