John W. Engeman Theater Northport (LI) NY LOA $385/week minimum. Free RT transportation provided from Manhattan to Northport during tech and run.

5:30 PM - Adult performers only 250 Main Street

Northport NY

The producer will run all aspects of these OPEN (Equity/non) calls. Equity audition procedures will NOT be in effect, and no Equity Monitor will be provided.

Please prepare 16 bars of a traditional musical theatre song, which may be from the show. Bring sheet music; accompanist provided. Bring dance clothes/dance shoes if asked to return to dance at end of call.

Please bring a picture & resume, stapled back-to-back.

Nathan Detroit:

Mid 30s. Not-so-bright - but lovable - small-time gambler. Financially strapped manager of a floating crap game. Engaged to Adelaide for 14 years. Role for a comic actor. Baritone, D to high F.

Sky Masterson:

Man, mid 30s. Handsome. Wealthy gambler. Role for a charismatic leading man. Legit baritone, B - Eb.

Sarah Brown:

Mid 30s. Pious, beautiful and prim “mission doll”. Legit soprano with belt to high A.

Nicely-Nicely Johnson:

Man, mid 30s - 40s. Small-time gambler. A bit of a bumbler. Tenor, Db - high Bb.

Benny Southstreet:

Mid 30s - 40s. Small-time gambler. Baritone, Db - high G.

Rusty Charlie:

Mid 30s - 40s. Small-time gambler. Baritone, Db - G.

Harry The Horse:

Mid 30s - 40s. Small-time gambler. Baritone.

Big Jule:

Man; 30s - 40s. Very tough (and big), gun-toting gangster from Chicago. Rules by intimidation. Baritone/bass-baritone.

Arvide Abernathy:

Man; mid 50s+. Sarah's grandfather and wise guardian. Baritone, D to high F.

Gen. Matilda B. Cartwright:

Mid 40s+. Severe Salvation Army Matron who has a kind heart within. Alto/mezzo.

Lt. Brannigan:

Man, 40s+. Frustrated policeman, chasing after Nathan's illegal crap game. Non-singing.

Ensemble (M/F):

Supporting characters will come from the ensemble, as will understudies for principal roles.

The role of Miss Adelaide is cast.
