Great Lakes Theater - Equity Principal Auditions

Equity Principal Auditions:

Sunday, December 4, 2011 at Pear Studios “500”

10 AM – 6 PM 500 8th Ave., 12th Floor

Lunch from 2 – 3. New York, NY

Prepare either: 1) one Shakespeare monologue and one contemporary monologue; OR 2) One brief monologue and 32 bars from any song in Sondheim repertoire (does not have to be a song from SONDHEIM ON SONDHEIM). Total audition should not exceed 90 seconds. Bring sheet music in correct key; accompanist provided but may not transpose.

Bring picture and resume, stapled together.

Callbacks will be held on Monday 12/5 and Tuesday 12/6, time TBA

MOUSETRAP

1st Rehearsal: 2/14/12. Runs: 3/9/12 – 3/25/12

ROMEO & JULIET

SONDHEIM ON SONDHEIM

1st Rehearsal: 4/20/12. Runs: 5/16/12 – 7/8/12

Seeking 7 singer/actors, all ethnicities, who are excellent musicians for the following:

Woman 1:

20s - 30s, legit soprano with good mix; ingenue, track includes “Happiness”, “The Wedding is Off” and “Do I Hear a Waltz?”. Range: A4-G#5

Woman 2:

20s - 30's, strong belter, good comic technique; track includes “Now You Know”, “Opening Doors” and “The Gun Song”. Range: F3-G5

Woman 3:

30s - 40s, belter, stunning leading lady, strong mover, track includes “Good Thing Going”, “Ah, But Underneath” and “Losing My Mind”. Range: E3-F#5

Man 1:

20s - 30s, bari-tenor, young leading man, track includes “Multitudes of Amys”, “The Gun Song” and “Happiness”. Range: A2-G#4

Man 2:

20s - 30s, tenor, young character man, very strong actor, track includes “Franklin Shepard, Inc.”, “Good Thing Going” and “Beautiful”. Range: A2-G#4

Man 3:

30s - 40s, baritone, strong leading man, track includes, “Is This What You Call Love”, “Being Alive” and “So Many People”. Range A2-G#4

Man 4:

40s - 50s, baritone, handsome mature leading man, track includes, “Epiphany”, “Finishing the Hat” and “Happily Ever After”. Range: G2-F#4
