Below the bright lights of Broadway, in the depths of the historic Sovereign Theatre, a troupe of musical-making mice rehearse a new show. When the theatre is threatened by demolition and their diva Adelaide disappears, it will take all paws on deck to fulfill the time-honored tradition: the show must go on!

[Adelaide]

Female, 40s-50s, any ethnicity, a leading lady diva, once a great star and still thinking of herself as such, although truthfully moving more toward character roles now. High maintenance. Alto, with a few higher tricks up her sleeve

[Wendy]

Female, 20s, any ethnicity, an adorable, ingénue, very talented though still very innocent. Soprano.

[Rose]

Female, 30s-early 40s, any ethnicity, a sassy soubrette with a heart of gold; been around, seen it all. She’s had a long, on-again, off-again relationship with Sky, but she still loves him. Tap dancing a plus, belt with a good mix.

[Fritz]

Female, 20s-30s, any ethnicity, a dry stage manager. No nonsense, a real techie. Been around, knows her job. Belt with a good mix

[Pippin]

Male, mid- to late teens, any ethnicity, a wide-eyed new intern; a country boy, new to the city and totally stage struck. Tenor.

[Harold]

Male, 50s-60s, any ethnicity, a Shakespeare-quoting, spirit nipping, veteran of the stage. English, or an anglophile. Falstaffian, an orator, a little grand. Baritone

[Curly]

Male 20s, any ethnicity, a song & dance man; a sweet-faced, gentle-hearted comedian. In love with Wendy. Tenor.

[Hysterium]

Male, 20s-40s, an ethnicity, a sassy, sardonic costumer/wig designer. Harried, wry, panics easily. Could be Asian or African American. A show queen. Tenor

[Henry]

Male, 40s-50s, any ethnicity, (doubles as Dad), Love interest to match Adelaide, a gentle book-smart, honest mouse. Professorial. Lives a solitary existence outside the theatre. Has never known glamour until Adelaide sweeps into his life. Bari-tenor.

[Sky]

Male (doubles as Scud the Rat), 30s-40s, any ethnicity, a handsome leading man. A rake and a rogue, smooth as silk. Baritone.

[Emil]

Male, 30s-40s, any ethnicity, director of the Mousical Theatre Company. Erudite, elegant, a little over the top. Tenor or bari-tenor.
