Please prepare two contrasting monologues, totaling 4 minutes or less. Please bring a photo and resume, stapled back-to-back.

A playground altercation between 11-year-old boys brings together two sets of Brooklyn parents for a meeting to resolve the matter. At first, diplomatic niceties are observed, but as the meeting progresses and the rum flows, tensions emerge and the gloves come off, leaving the couples with more than just their liberal principles in tatters.

Director states “The playwright is deliberately ambiguous about character description. As long as [you] look like you could be [in your 40s], we’re willing to consider you.”

The roles of Alan Raleigh, Annette Raleigh and Veronica Novak (all in their 40s) are all CAST. Auditioning performers will be considered as possible (emergency) replacements, should any become necessary.
